As Partner with The ASSET Company, Ben provides general management of the engineering section, directing engineers and draftsmen in offering conceptual and detailed designs of power systems, both industrial and utility. Ben also performs electrical system studies (short circuit and relay/fuse coordination, and settings), creates detailed protection and control designs (three line diagrams, DC elementaries, panel layouts, interconnects, and mechanicals), and develops control building, raceway, and grounding plans and details.

With 13 years in electric power substation, transmission, and distribution design and construction, Ben offers application experience from radial fed public power substations, to ring bus and breaker failure designs, to transmission and distribution line design. He also provides experienced project and construction management, including inspection and commissioning services to ensure quality implementation for the customer.
Ben was formerly associated with a regional engineering contractor as Design Engineer with the Substation Engineering & Construction group. There he performed major roles in EPC (engineering/procurement/construction) efforts for electric substation and industrial power projects. He also directed and participated in project management, engineering, detailed design, and start-up functions. Ben served as Design Engineer with a public power company as well, developing planning studies, project justification and specification, construction contract documentation, and detailed design functions. In addition, he was responsible for overseeing/inspecting substation and transmission construction.
